Jo was raised in Northern Ontario and still often finds inspiration from
that rugged landscape. Now that she has retired, she has returned to
her love of drawing and painting. Her works in watercolour and pastel
reflect a search for nature's beauty, whether in the form of lily pads
on a still pond or a child playing at the beach. She is beginning to
work on plein air painting and enjoys the struggle to capture the changing
light and the experience of the unpredictable elements.
Jo belongs to the Willowdale Group of Artists and has enjoyed art lessons
for the past two summers at the Artsperience Program at Canadore College
in North Bay.
