Jim Lorriman is gaining recognition for his stick bowls made from staghorn sumac, lilac, red pine, juniper and other non-commercial woods. His technique permits recycling and docks, stairs, railings, window frames, boat parts and other sentimental woods have come his way to take on new life. He shows the wood with its beauty and its flaws. His work is available in Ontario at the Guild Shop - Toronto, Dragonfly - Orangeville, the Burdette Gallery – Orton, the Village Gallery – Lakefield, the Stÿll Gallery – Alora and Ryan Arts & Fine Crafts Gallery – Conestoga.
