Katelynn grew up in a rural setting but never took a close enough look at it until now. She is inspired by the purity and serenity that nature has to offer. The idea, that no matter what, when you look out a window and see the landscape, you are moved.
Though a lot of her work surrounds the subject matter of nature, she also creates pieces surrounding other subjects found in her environment. Through all different media of art from sketching, painting and photography, she captures the beauty of the idea being portrayed in her works. Her work is intended to make you stop and see the finer beauty in everything that everyone takes for granted in our fast paced lives.
