Born in 1943 in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, Xaveria is the seventh child of the renowned artist, Dorus Arts. She grew up in an atmosphere of creativity, with a discerning awareness of colour and composition.
The family Arts, immigrated to Canada in 1955 and Xaveria furthered her studies at the Holy Names Convent School in Saint Lambert, Quebec. In 1986 Xaveria found her niche when she and her husband bought a 1907 farmhouse in Ontario sheep country, and in these surroundings cultivated her talents.
Xaviera hand knits exclusive wearing apparel using her own sheeps’ organic wool that she hand spins, hand-dyes and colour blends. Her designs are seen at art shows and exhibits around the Ontario countryside.
